The New Ibiza Brief: Luxury, Lifestyle and Corporate Experiences Beyond the Nightlife

While Ibiza is world famous for its legendary nightlife, there is so much more to the island than clubs and DJs. It effortlessly combines luxury, wellness, gastronomy, natural beauty, and relaxation. From five star hotels and world-class beach clubs to hidden coves, wellness retreats and stunning sunsets. Ibiza genuinely offers something for everyone.

My recent trip had a dual purpose. We were celebrating a 50th birthday and marking We Are MEaT's 10th Anniversary. James Bacon curated an incredible itinerary that perfectly balanced luxury, fun, and a touch of laid back glamour.

I was based just outside San Antonio Bay, a fantastic location with easy access to venues and experiences across the island.

Our first evening began at Tapas Ibiza, one of the island's most established dining destinations. Set within a beautiful traditional finca, the venue blends rustic charm with elegant Mediterranean styling. The outdoor terraces are surrounded by mature gardens, fairy lights, and whitewashed walls, creating a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere.

The menu is exactly what you'd hope for from a top quality tapas restaurant. Fresh seafood, Iberian ham, grilled meat designed for sharing. The food was exceptional, the service attentive, and the atmosphere set the tone for the start of a wonderful weekend.

Following dinner, we headed to Amnesia, one of Ibiza's iconic superclubs, hosting the Glitterbox opening night.  I'll admit I expected to feel slightly out of place, but the reality was quite the opposite. The crowd was incredibly diverse, with a mix of ages and nationalities all there for the same reason: to enjoy the music and the experience.

The highlight for me was seeing Sophie Ellis-Bextor perform. Unfortunately, I didn't quite make it to Armand Van Helden's set. After a long day and with plenty more adventures planned, I decided not to burn myself out on night one.

The following day we spent the afternoon at the beautiful Nikki Beach Ibiza, where we were kindly hosted.

There are Nikki Beach Clubs all over the world, but the story behind Nikki Beach is particularly moving. Founder Jack Penrod created the first venue in memory of his daughter Nicole, who tragically passed away at a young age. What started as a tribute featuring flowers and butterflies has grown into globally recognised luxury and beautiful Beach Clubs. Such beauty emerging from tragedy.

Located alongside the five star ME Ibiza Hotel, Nikki Beach strikes the perfect balance between luxury, glamour and relaxation. The venue overlooks the sparkling Mediterranean, with elegant cabanas, sun loungers, a stunning pool, and a beautiful restaurant terrace facing the sea.

What I loved most was that I felt relaxed, not out of place and it never felt pretentious despite how high end the venue was. The atmosphere was relaxed, stylish, and welcoming. Chilled house music accompanied by a live saxophonist was the sound track to a wonderful afternoon. The food was outstanding.  It showcased fresh local ingredients and Mediterranean flavours, while the service was first-class throughout.

After a few hours soaking up the sunshine, taking a dip in the pool and sipping strawberry Daiquiri’s, we returned to freshen up before heading out to Es Paradis.

One of Ibiza's most recognisable clubs, Es Paradis is famous for its distinctive pyramid roof. Step inside and you'll find an elegant white interior filled with tropical plants, flowers, and open spaces that give the venue a unique feel compared to many modern clubs. The night itself was great fun, packed with classic dance music, professional dancers including a man dressed in a mirror suit, along with a fantastic crowd of mixed age groups.

The following day took us to one of Ibiza's most famous institutions, Pikes.

Known for its legendary Sunday Roast and its role in pop culture history, Pikes is where Wham! filmed the iconic Club Tropicana video. Set amongst the hills of San Antonio, the venue feels more like a private hideaway than a hotel.

The food was outstanding. Fresh, generous, and packed with flavour. The cocktails were equally impressive.

Of course, I couldn't visit without ordering a Club Tropicana cocktail and taking a dip in the famous pool where George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley once filmed the video. Complete with the neon Club Tropicana sign overlooking the pool bar, it felt like stepping back in time.

Pikes is full of hidden corners, gardens, terraces, and relaxing spaces. It has long attracted celebrities seeking privacy away from the spotlight. Freddie Mercury was a regular visitor and remains such an important part of Pikes' history that the venue has an entire bar dedicated to him: Freddie's Bar.

It's one of those places that instantly makes you want to return.

After Pikes, we headed to the Marina to board a private 50ft Sunseeker luxury yacht for an afternoon exploring Ibiza's stunning coastline.

With chilled music playing, drinks flowing, and the Mediterranean sunshine doing its thing, it was one of those experiences that makes you truly appreciate the beauty of the island. We cruised along the coastline before stopping in a secluded cove near Cala Bassa, where we jumped into crystal clear turquoise waters. Refreshing might be an understatement.

From there we continued around the coast, eventually dropping anchor near the famous Café del Mar and Café Mambo to watch the sunset.

The view was simply breathtaking.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting shades of orange, pink, and gold across the sea, it became clear why Ibiza's sunsets are considered some of the best in the world. It was the perfect way to end an incredible trip.

What this experience reminded me is that Ibiza cannot be defined by a single stereotype. Yes, it has world famous nightlife. But it also offers luxury, wellness, incredible food, stunning scenery, unforgettable hospitality and opportunities to completely switch off and recharge.

Whether you're planning a corporate incentive, a luxury getaway, a celebration, or a wellness retreat, Ibiza has the versatility to deliver something truly special.

After experiencing it first hand, I can safely say I'll be back.
