Perthshire Uncovered - A great Scottish option for meetings & incentives!

We spent a fantastic couple of days with Meetings Perthshire and Visit Scotland exploring event experience opportunities across the region.

Perth is making huge strides in sustainability and becoming a carbon neutral destination. Alongside this it also offers first class venues, stunning hospitality, amazing outdoor activities and just a little bit of golf..!

Flying into Dundee airport which is easily accessible through Logan Air across the UK. It's a small no fuss airport that gets you through and on your way in no time. Not only that, it is a great option for those groups going into St Andrews instead of coming via Edinburgh.

Hotels:

Crieff Hydro - With over 60 different types of activities to do here, along with some stunning countryside to walk and explore. This hotel is a great option for mid size groups (up to 200) for meetings, conferences and incentive events.

With it's very own whisky and gin tasting room, cinema, games room and spa facilities. You have plenty to do on site outside of the meetings which they also boast some great boardroom, and conference space too!

Outside, they have acres upon acres to explore with many options for outdoor games and experiences. We took the opportunity to explore with their easy riders. Sort of a cross between a segway and a quadbike? This was after going cross terrain via a revamped military style tank (for want of a better word!).

Murrayshall Country Estate - A quite simply beautiful property. Perfect for smaller groups (up to 50 in terms of stayover). It has some fantastic event space options such as the library room. A first class restaurant and great private dining space too. Once again, outside of your meetings you have access again to some amazing countryside a 9 hole golf course with driving range and plenty opportunities for tasting experiences.

Fonab Castle - For an absolute 5* experience, whether a stay or simply a lunch or dinner. Fonab offers plenty of character, history and fine service. It has a great choice of event spaces either overlooking the stunning area or their almost speak easy style restaurant and private dining area (which hosts a number of choices of whisky) perfect for a tasting experience for your group. Fonab works well for small stay over groups and would be an ideal option for a leadership team off site.

Other Activities:

Perth Racecourse - A day at the races is always a great option for groups. Perth Racecourse has some fantastic facilities for private groups and those looking for a great hospitality package for the day.

Errichel House - Probably one of our highlights of the trip. A sustainable, ethically working farm. It's a fantastic option for groups wanting to learn about sustainable farming and produce. But it also works for groups looking at how to run businesses sustainably too. Not only that it has a first class restaurant and chef in house for private dinner and lunches. But also some amazing tasting experiences from their locally sourced and produced food and beverage options.

The Highland Chocolatier - Master Chocolatier Iain Burnett is an award winner and truffle specialist. We had the pleasure of a guided tasting experience through some of his best delicacies. On its on this is a a real gourmet activity, but you can also pair it with food, wine, whisky tasting to enhance your group experience. Not only that, why not visit his local chocolate store to buy and sample some of the countless chocolate product on offer!

We have only really scratched the surface of what this region of Scotland has to offer for events. Get in touch and let's start the conversation about what Perthshire can bring to your events - info@wearemeat.com
