Destination Hong Kong: Asia's world city and a perfect global meeting hub.

Much of our focus for this year especially has been to scout new and interesting venues and destinations for our clients. We always pride ourselves in being able to offer new and interesting choices for events. Or putting a different spin on something tried and tested...be that venue or location. For our global clients, there has been a real push towards location as a central meeting hub. Somewhere all offices can attend and come together. Here is why we think you should be c

Homecomings, loop pedals, surprise appearances and great end to Festival season.

We took a different approach to the 2019 festival season. We looked at more bespoke, personal and independent gigs this year. So what started with a 90s dance-fest in June with Clockstock, to a yoga and well being festival in Soul Circus...we finished at Chantry Park in Ipswich across the summer bank holiday weekend. Ed Sheeran has been on his Divided tour now for over 800 days taking in 260 gigs across the world. He decided to finish with 4 nights in Ipswich as a sort of hom

Bespoke events: How small independent brands can succeed by being different.

We are well and truly into festival season and last weekend we attended a bespoke independent day festival - Clockstock. Clockstock as a festival began in 2018 out in Ibiza. It was put together by legendary club promoters and brand Clockwork Orange. Founders, Danny and Andy always looking to raise the bar and push for something new, bigger and different took over Benimussa Park near San Antonio. The venue, a former zoo provided a unique and different festival event that saw o

A Planner's Guide: Trump Turnberry Resort

Last week we were invited up to Trump Turnberry for a FAM visit. The first thing that would spring to mind (other than Trump) would be Golf. Here is why we think you need to look beyond this and realise it has so much more to offer for Corporate and Private groups. Trump Turnberry Resort: The location is breathtakingly beautiful. Set on the west coast of Scotland, you view is drawn to the sea and Ailsa Craig that overlooks the resort. Due to time of year, we were unable to ta

What's New: Room on the broom adds to the magic at Chessington this year.

We were able to try out the new Room on the Broom attraction at Chessington World of Adventures at the weekend. It was great to hear that the theme resort were adding to their Julia Donaldson world. The Gruffalo River Ride has been a great feature these past few years, and we are pleased to report that this is a very welcome addition to the park that definately brings the magic! So essentially, this now takes over from the old Hocus Pocus Haunted Mansion that has been there f

Stag and Hens - Will your party keep up with the trend?

As an event based company that covers pretty much across the board when it comes to events. We have always tread carefully with Stag and Hen bookings. It's mainly because there are so many very well equipped companies out there that can offer an all round packaged deal. So it would be like us selling holidays against the likes of TUI..! That being said we are not adverse to organising that last hurrah..! We are all about experiences and memories so for those who are looking b

A Planner's Guide: When the event idea is right...but the execution and planning isn't there

We went to The Rum Festival: Kent, last Saturday. More and more events "festivals" are popping up from Gin to Prosseco and we always take a keen interest on behalf of our clients. This one especially caught out eye...rum being a particular favourite tipple of ours. Held at the Kent Event Centre in Detling, we were in high hopes after successful ventures there over the past few years involving various different spirits and wines. However....on arrival as much as the lovely tas

That Dream Holiday: Adding a sprinkle of magic..!

When you have the chance to book that dream holiday, do you know what to do when there? Of course if your dream involves a beautiful relaxing setting, this may be straight forward to achieve. However those looking at multi stop vacations, it takes a lot of planning! This is exactly what happened when we were approached by the Jennings family from New Zealand. They were about to embark on a 3 week tour of Europe covering several of the major cities along the way. Covering all

    A Planner's Guide: What's...Up at the O2?

Yesterday one of the team had the chance to experience "Up at the O2". This is the unique opportunity to climb up and over one of London's most prominent and iconic landmarks. At 52 meters above sea level that makes it quite a climb, especially for the non climbers among us. We planned a sunset climb to take maximum opportunity to see the London skyline at it's picturesque best, both at dusk and by night. The experience lasts around 90 minutes and you begin by being suited an

    A Planner's Guide: Racing Events

Being an experienced event planner means that even though it's the middle of August and the UK is having it's best summer in decades...you still need to be prepared! So on the day we organised a small group to attend a race meeting at Sandown, followed by Nile Rodgers and Chic...of course it would be the first day of rain we had seen in nearly two months! We came prepared and so did our clients ready with our waterproofs ready for anything. Thankfully, the weather turned and
